My name is Bota Nyanga'au Evans. I grew up in a humble family in Kisii County, Kenya. I went to Kenyerere Junior Academy and completed my primary education in 2002. I joined Tabaka Adventist High School and completed my O level in 2006. I then joined the Mombasa Polytechnic, after a long struggle to get admission fees, in 2008. I graduated in 2012 with a diploma in electrical power engineering. I have worked as an electrical technician for three years until January 2015 when I started my own business of selling electrical goods and doing electrical installations.
My home place is widely known by the kind of green land all round the year hence supportive of farming activities. My daughter is one and a half years old now but I guess she admires my hardworking attitude and she may grow to become a lawyer. In my youth, I enjoyed the better times we had in conducting evangelical crusades and teaching people about Jesus Christ. I really miss those times!
My business is basically a development of my career through the sale of electrical goods and servicing all electrical-powered equipment that my clients bring to my workshop. I also do fresh electrical installations in new buildings. Most customers come for electrical sockets, energy saving bulbs, fluorescent fittings (both four feet and two feet), switches, electrical kettles, LED torches, electrical cables of different sizes, and many more. I chose this kind of business simply because I have a professional knowledge regarding it.
I typically started this business with 200 dollars, but my customers' demands are high. I have not many varieties of what my clients request. The returns are not as impressive but that is normal since the business is young. I use most of my profits to improve my business in response to those demands.
I will be glad if granted the loan because it will help me complete the last phase of my family house construction which needs 200 USD for ceiling,350 USD for putting tiles on the floor,150 USD internal rooms doors,250 USD furniture,60 USD partial painting work.
