My name is Bronson i am married with three children. I was born in a family of 8. It was tough growing up in my neighbourhood where most kids had a tendency to drop out of school. However, I had a dream and this motivated me to concentrate in school and complete my secondary school education. So after completing my 'O' levels i entered college and obtained a certificate in Mechanical Engineeering, though from childhood I have always had a passion in entrepreneurship, to become my own boss and my interest is looking after the welfare of the vulnerable in society. To achieve my passion i studied for a degree in Development Studies and later a Diploma in Human Capital Management. I enjoy working with the vulnerable people and develop them into purposeful people in society. i believe that every person on earth has a purpose no matter what situation they are in. I live in a country where most people are poor and this makes them so vulnerable to undesirable activities such as drug abuse and prostitution. My children have a passion to serve sick people so they all want to become medical doctors. My hobbies are farming and general reading.
I am currently working as a Technician but i really enjoy doing business too. In my free time, and for over 5 years now i have been working with Local NGOs helping the vulnerable to achieve their goals and dreams. On the other hand, I am a farmer i keep village chickens but i want to venture into broiler chickens for business. There is booming business in poultry farming in Zambia and the market is readily available, not just in Zambia but also across our neighboring countries like Democratic Republic of Congo.
To all my lenders, let me take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful generosity and all the support you have given me by funding all my past loans. I come to you again for your support in funding my new loan application from Zidisha with a total amount of ZMW 14,772 ( $1,485). This loan I want to use for two purposes. First of all, as I am currently pursuing a master’s degree program in Development studies, it is part of my studies to conduct research. I want to carry out research on ‘Early Marriages in Zambia’. This will be a comparison of three different rural communities. To conduct this research I need logistics such as travel, lodging for 7 nights, materials and other indirect costs. The total cost comes to about $800. This research study will enhance my research skills. The rest of the money from this loan application, a total of about $800 I want to buy building materials to be used for setting up a poultry house at my farm. I have a great passion in poultry farming and there is booming business of keeping chickens in Zambia. On a large scale some farmers are even exporting to other neighboring countries. I intend to build a poultry house that has capacity to keep 1,000 birds. So the first phase will be to build from foundation to slab level. The costs involved include 30 pockets of cement costing $200, labour $ 150, crushed stones $130, conforce wire $ 60, tools $ $100, 2000 bricks $ 200 and others $20. Once I make the slab, I will now start the building slowly as I save some money even from my salary. But once completed and I start keeping about 1,000 birds I will be able to make good profits. So the loan amount I am applying for will kick-start this project and will be sufficient for me to accomplish these two needs I have at the moment.I am in fulltime employment so I will use my salary to pay back for this loan and I will make sure I do not skip any repayment. Thank you my lenders once more.
