About Me

I was born in 1978 and went through primary and finally secondary doing my KCSE in 1997. I had to drop out in form three due to lack of school fees but a good hearted primary school teacher who was my neighbour came to my rescue to complete my education.
After secondary school and with no any training i applied for a clarical job at Sony sugar co ltd and was happy to be sotlisted. Being very poor i had to walk from migori to Sonysugar, a distance of about 30km. I took up my job and stayed in the house of a friend for three months.
I worked at Sony till 2002 when i was finally laid off among others when the company was faced with serious cash problems. I had to return to migori to start farming with the money i now had. Since my home village has a good agricultural potential, i bought a green house and ventured into farming of capsicum which was profitable. I bought additional half an acre land where i put up three houses for renting with a bigger part still remaining undeveloped.
I proceeded with capsicum growing but the worst came when a strong wind hit my greenhouse, getting it torn and nearly all metals bent. I now grow onions and sukuma wiki on open field.
I used the cash i had to buy a small car that i now operate as a taxi to take care of my family and dependants.
My two sons who are in form three each have great dreams too. One would like to be a neurosurgeon after completing. The elder one is intending to be a civil engineer. I also have two orphans who completed secobdary education in 2016. One, a lady, wants to be a teacher whike Kevin who did not perfom well is already undertaking driving course (BCE class) after which he will register for special class types like earthmovers etc. Im happy to help the poor people when im able since i was also helped complete my education.
My hobby when free is to do research on farming. I do much over the internet.
