My names are Peter Ngare Kamau a resident of subukia where i do my business and also live. I have been doing some businesses before i decided to settle on Milk supply business. I do collect milk from farmers around and retail the same to my customers at a profit. This business i inherited from my parents and have been using the name that they had already established.
My business is known as Wema Milk cafe, I sell milk after purchasing from farmers. I buy from nearby farmers and paythem monthly after selling at a profit, the main challenge i face is obtaining the necessary permit and also harrassment from local authority. I have since obtained licence from the Kenya dairy board and do wish to obtain a trading licence so that I can operate without fear.
I have fully paid my first loan, on this second loan, I want to purchase milk weighing equipment and large storage tank where i can store the milk for cooling before I sell. This will enable me operate efficiently and avoid a lot of mixing as at the moment since the fore the mixing the more the chances of contaminating the milk. I have also realized that the loan i will receive will be small amount and therefore want to start small so that in future i can have more loan.
