About Me

My name is Ian kibunyi. I live in Nakuru Kenya, I work in Mount Kenya University Nakuru Campus as an Admin Assistant in the Admission under the academic Affairs wing. I am a ABRSM Grade V holder and currently pursuing Bachelors of Arts In Communication here at Mount Kenya University. This is my second job as an employee. I attended a local primary school just like any other child from the village. I did well in my KCSE and went to a provincial secondary school where life was quit challenging because at this time paying fee was a hustle I was even forced to stay out of school sometimes due to lack of sufficient funds. After high school I joined Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) GRADE 5. I am a Dad to Deverell who is now three and a half years old. Though not staying with the mother to my kid due to some relationship constraints that led to separation. My hobbies are singing, playing chess teaching young ones how to sing, composing music and doing academic research projects. As I grew up i loved going to places where innovation activities were taking place such as going to the show grounds, fashion and design shows and also attending church choir practice sessions. Music has been part of me and also among the things am best in. Being a staff of Mount Kenya University Nakuru Campus I hav attended a number of research conferences and seminars which have brought out a new carrer in life of research. Due to this I have engaged in various research activities and also learnt new skills in research and analysis. I have so far learnt that what life requires is only focus to achieve our goals in life. I follow my dreams because they are valid and I should fly as high as an eagle to get to my dreams despite the challenges and obstacles that are ahead of me knowing that nothing comes easy.

My Business

I have a consultancy agency firm in Nakuru town that deals with research in various academic fields but mostly I deal with education, business and social sciences related fields. Research is important in this region because it has quit a number of higher learning institutions and also a number of Non –Governmental Organizations. For students who are in these institutions most of them are not able to analyze the data they collect thus due to some mathematical challenges that come along with the attitude my business comes in handy. Also For Non –Governmental Organizations they sometimes need to do some research so as to give results and also show how their services are needed in some areas thus leading to the necessity of researchers in helping to translate the data found from their data collection tools. Though I haven’t found a suitable place where I can open an office however many of my clients find me through word of mouth from other clients who I have served before or contact me via emails and also because I have created good relation with other consultants I get clients from them. I use my profit in updating my data, marketing my business and research in my area of specialization and also to better my life and those who I closely work with. Also as part of my duty as one of the leading research I use some of the amount to pay my fellow colleagues so as to sustain them partly. I have loved being in research and innovation and this has been a learning platform and also one of my achievements in life. I am looking forward to having a big consultancy agency thus employing many young people who are interested in research in other fields. The reason as to why I want to venture into this is because research is the thing for many people who want to venture into the business world.
