About Me

My name is Joy Wairimu. I live in Nakuru Kenya, I work in an Eco-environmetal organization dealers in energy saving and environmental preservation. I wok as a moderator in training and also facilitation for the community. I am a diploma holder in information Technology form Mount Kenya university Nakuru Campus. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in the same university though as part time student due to the time I get for communal activities. As I work as a moderator I also assist the community in translating and also analyzing some effects of energy saving by doing some graphs and pie charts that come along with my experience as an Information Technology expert. I attended Queen Esther Academy a primary school located in the village in Nyahururu town in Nyandarua County. I did well in my KCSE and went to Muhotetu Girls a provincial secondary school where life was quit challenging because at this time paying fee was a hustle I was even forced to stay out of school sometimes due to lack of sufficient funds. After high school I joined Moi University for a Diploma Course in Business Management. I am Single and will be ready to mingle after achieving my goals in terms of academics. My hobbies are dancing, reading novels, watching movies, doing communal work and cooking. I have been working hard in life to achieve my goals. I once worked at a firm and after working for a long time my boss decided that I join my Diploma as I develop my career. Since then I have become a moderator and marketer for my communal activities and working very hard to achieve my dreams. I have resided in Nakuru for quit some years and I find it as a potential place to work and do business. My parents are back at home also working hard to make ends meet. They have always supported me in life and educated me. I have to work hard in life and start supporting them too. I would also wish to give back to the community when I achieve my dreams. Your support will be of great help to me.

My Business

I have a consultant firm in Nakuru town that deals with Eco-envronmental activities such as making energy saving “jikos” , torches and many more. Energy saving is important in this region because it has an impact as we know that preservation of the environment can bring about good riddance health wise and economic wise. For people living in the Rift Valley region depend so much in Mau region for their day to day activities such as farming drinking and cooking water. The government also depends on this activity for tourism and production of energy such as GDC. Because of the love for Ecology and environment I work hard to ensure that the little resource found in the region are utilized wisely by making charcoal from cow dung, eco- jiko and solar recharchable torch. For instance for the eco-jiko uses two bars of wood which can cook up to four hours. Also For Non –Governmental Organizations they sometimes need to do some research so as to give results and also show how their services are needed in some areas thus leading to the necessity of researchers in helping to translate the data found from their data collection tools and also showing the importance of energy saving. The reason as to why I want to venture into this is because saving energy and protecting the environment against those who want destroy is because the future world relies on today’s environment. It’s good for me and you.
“Never ever give up just struggle and all will be well”. I am looking forward to getting support and monetary motivation from the government and NGP’s to help me in preaching this gospel for a better future.
