About Me

My name is Rehema Nalungwe a female Zambian young lady. Iam a very vibrant young lady who is hard working and very dynamic entrepreneur. I completed my education grade 12 and later went to University of Zambia and graduated with a University bachelors degree in business administration and economics. Currently am working with Zambia national bank in Lusaka town and am located in Kabulonga township. After working for 5 years in the bank, I opted to buy the farming land in Chibombo district in central province. I am an entrepreneur in area of rearing livestock and maize farming. Well, since I was a young lady my desire was to work hard and establish my own business and employ my fellow youth in our community or neighborhood. Hence through striving and hard work I have managed to achieve this goal in my life and I want to put in extra effort in the development of the economic of our country and employ many unemployed youths especially school leavers . Zambia is rich in mineral resources, wildlife and tourism industry which is a source of revenue. Zambia has 72 tribes and different culture norms. I wish my children to become Lawyers and health or medical doctors. I love watching football and playing music.

My Business

Iam a business lady involved in livestock keeping, rearing chickens, both broiler, layers, village chickens and maize farming which is my focus at the moment. I also work in the Bank as a business consultant and I earn a monthly income. Therefore, mainly in my business I sale broiler chickens , goats, village chicken and maize. These goods are highly marketable and sell very fast, I have very good market clientele base where I supply them especially the restaurants and take away. The goods are daily consumable and very useful to many households and always in demand. Choose this sector of business because I earn good profits and food business generates good income. My vision is ensure that I grow this business for more income generation besides my work or my monthly salary.
I wish to access more business empowerment from Zidisha to grow and expand the business.

Project Proposal

I propose to buying the new drip pipes, pesticides and herbicides for my maize farming at the farms. Following the recent attacks of army worms at the maize fields, maize crop has been destroyed by the break out of insects and are being eaten up, hence there is urgent need for me to buy the pesticides and the herbicides to protect the maize crop from being further destroyed by these insects in the maize fields. However, once these pesticides are bought, I will have a good maize crop production for sale and therefore ensure food security for the family and general public at large.
