My name is Emmanuel. I was born in western Kenya among the Luhya community. This community has a rich culture which they are very proud of. There are many traditional games that take place to date such as wrestling and bull fighting.
I was raised up there then went to school for formal education. I however do not have any post school training and that limited chances of me getting a good job. I later landed a job in Mombasa as a night guard and that I what I do for a living.
I also sell small household items as a side business so as to supplement my income.
Apart from my job, I sell small household items outside the building that I guard. These items include drinking water, biscuits, sweets and tissue paper. I just started off recently and so far the business is promising.
It is currently giving me a profit of about $15 per week and this is very important since it is adding up to my salary. The combined income is used to maintain my family which is made up of my wife and one child.
I will use my second loan to buy drinking water which is very popular with the local population. People are getting more aware of what they consume and bottled water is a choice of most urban dwellers.
I want to cash in on this demand and buy 4 dozens of bottled water which will cost me around $22. This is the amount of money I am asking for and it will go a long way in helping my new business grow faster.
Thank you.
