I wish to pass my gratitude to the lenders who supported me with my previous loan which went a long way to boost '‘THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’. The business has expanded and we have contracted one more employee who is helping us with 'NAIL ART'. Besides stocking the beauty products, ‘THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’ have gone a ladder higher by introducing Nail Art services to our esteemed clients. We are doing the nail art at a subsidised rate for the Jomo Kenyatta University Students who form a base of clientelle.
I wish to thank the Zidisha team for their previous loan extended to me that I have just completed repaying. This amount helped us to boost our stock at the 'THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’. We are optimistic that given more loans by Zidisha community our business will prosper. We have a two years plan that we have laid down. At the end of the two years it is expected that THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’ will have expanded further.
I wish to take this opportunity to ask for a loan of USD 409.871. I have been talking to my friends who have been complaining about the high cost of living especially when it comes to items that are used in the house. One of the most crucial areas that people especially women care about is cleanliness. I therefore decided to give this business a trial by providing women and other households with affordable detergent for cleaning of floors and kitchen surfaces. I also target boarding schools, hotels and salons who use a lot of soap to clean their floor.
I have already established a reliable supplier in Nairobi town who will be supplying me the detergent at a cost of USD 0.65 per litre. In return, I will sell a litre at Kshs 1.079. Juja being located 40kms away from the Nairobi Business District, I will be using one of my friend’s car to ferry the detergent where the friend will only charge me fuel cost. I have partnered with a friend who lives in a different locality and together we have successful registered a business by the name HANRYHS SERVICES.
I am planning to employ one young lady who completed her form four education in 2014 and therefore have not joined university. I will be paying the lady USD 64.71 per month, I have rent a room where I will be paying USD32.4 per month as rent and USD 10.78 for electricity and water.
My target is to sell 300 litres of detergent per month therefore getting USD 323.59. If I subratct all expenses as follows; rent USD32.4, labour USD 64.71, labour USD 10.78 and cost of detergent USD 64.71, I will be left with USD 151, pay Zidisha loan at USD 16.17 per week, thus 4 weeks in a month (USD 16.17*4=64.71) and be left with a profit of USD 16.17
If given this loan, it will go a long way to boost my school fees to a degree course that I am undertaking at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
I once again wish to thank the lenders for always lending me the money since I joined zidisha. Thank you very much.
I am a lady aged 32. I live in Juja town, 40 KM from the Kenyan capital Nairobi. I have a permanent job in one the Kenyan Private University. I wish to thank Zidisha for giving me my first loan which I used to boost my beauty products business. I have been able to increase stock at the ‘THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’. Currently we are selling earrings, bracelets, hair buds, necklaces, hair extensions, hand and body lotions, perfumes, nail polish among other beauty products. I am determined to see ‘THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’ blossom to greater heights in future. I have also enrolled for short course at Jomo Kenyatta University. The course title is ‘ENTREPRENUERSHIP’. This course will go a long way to polish my business management skills and also help realize my dream of opening a beauty products supermarket in Juja town.
At ‘THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE’ (The business name) our motto is ‘VARIETY with QUALITY’. As the business blossoms, we are still increasing stock using our net profit which is currently at 92USD after paying USD33 rent, 5USD electricity bill and 22USD transport. I will commit to pay the loan with part of the net profit and use the remaining to plough it back to the business. The business has been in operation since December 2013 and the trend of profits has been encouraging. It is our sincere hope that if given consecutive loans offered at Zidisha, we shall be able to achieve our motto. As the business progresses, we are hoping to expand more and eventually open a beauty products supermarket in Juja town which will be one of its kind in the locality. ‘The Pats Beauty Centre’ aims at being a supermarket of ot its kind taking care of the modern woman by providing her with ‘classy complementary looks’ and outfits
The beauty market among women is a venture that is long term as women continue having the urge to look good and more presentable. A well dressed lady can only complement this with her jewelry which we offer at THE PAT’s BEAUTY CENTRE.
