I am Langat Kipkemoi Michael born on 12 December 1984 in a village called Kapsasian in Transmara Dictrict Narok County. I am married and blessed with two children. I have completed a Diploma course in Information Technology from Jomo kenyatta University and now I am an IT Specialist majoring on software installation and development. I started a small business enterprise which is computer college and cyber cafe since it fits with my area of specialization. Started it a small amount i get from my farm produce and now the business is growing well since it is the only cyber in the town. This made me expand to offering computer training since the demand from the surrounding community and workers from flower farms around here plead for the same.
My business deals in both computer training and cyber cafe. The college offers 10 computer packages which last for one and half months. The student is to pay. 4000 KES to complete the whole course. Every month I received an average of 10 students who come for training. This therefore would enable me pay loan in time and complete within the stipulated period.
Also cyber cafe is the only one in the trading center and this has made my business grow faster. I normally charge 1 shilling per minute and a minimum charge of 10 KES. Other services I offer include photocopy , scanning, lamination and computer maintenance and installation of software.
The loan would enable me expand my business by adding some more computers and the accessories for my clients.
The loan will help me buy one more desktop computer for the cyber cafe which cost 100usd and the phone accessories like Chargers, phone housing, memory cards from 2Gb to 4gb and the headphones that cost 45usd.
The benefit I will get from this is that my business will be in a position to generate more income because the clients will increase in number since one computer can give an average of 2.5usd per day since I charge 1 KES per Min and a minimum charge of 0.10usd . My customers also will get enough time to browse since one computer can serve more than 5 persons per day.
The profit I will expect from the business is higher because the business is already in operational and the customers know my business very well. So if they find everything they want in my business the profit likely to shoot up.
I am expecting the profit to double from 40USD per week to 60USd per week.
