My name is Gideon Magu. I was born on the third day of August 1972 in a small village at Engineer.
I attended school at Rugongo Pry while walking a distance, barefooted for about 6 km. This meant I had to wake up at 4.00am because the teachers were really strict.
I completed my primary education and got good marks which got me to Nyahururu high school. I graduated with the grade of C+, later on I attended Kiwan Computer College where I graduated with Diploma in Information Technology.
I set up my own small cyber business which I started with one computer. Later I have improve to three but I still have space to increase to ten.
Mostly there are businessmen/women.
My children are also in the IT Sector.
My hobby is programming different things on the website platform like cartoons.
I offer all the computer services required such as: renewal of driving licenses, application of good conduct, Itax returns, photocopying, lamination, printing, typing, designing of business cards, wedding cards, invitation cards and eulogies.
There is no other cyber cafes around here so the businessmen/women are forced to travel long distances.
I chose this kind of business because computer is in my blood, I love computer and I like what I can do with the computer.
My costs annually amount to 200,000 and my revenues amount to 500,000.
I have children who are in college and so I pay for their fees and upkeep. Am also investing to buy a plot.
Add my stock. The price of one computer is approximately 14 dollars and I will also require to add more photocopy papers approximately 10dollars for five cartons.
I will be able to make more profit and still reduce the cost of production to my customers.
I guess my profit would increase to 100,000 shillings annually.
