About Me

My name is Jane Goli. I was born and bread in a poor village at Manya in the Eastern region of Ghana. Life has not been easy for me at all because, my parents were very poor and we could hardly eat three (3) times daily.
Nonetheless, they managed to send me to school. I studied General Arts in secondary school because I had the passion for journalism. Things became more challenging when my mother died from malaria when I was writing final exams in school. I changed my mind to study nursing when my father also died from cholera because, he was not having money to buy some prescribed drugs and there was no one to help.
Hmmmmm.....this is how I became an orphan but very determined to further my education. I started helping my neighbors and community members on their farms and doing house chores for them at a cost so to survive..
I have saved and bought an admission form and went for student loan to pay my fees every semester for three years.
I graduated from nurses training college and now work as a professional nurse at the Ridge Hospital, Accra -Ghana.

My Business

As indicated in my story above, I am a nurse by profession but I own hair and cosmetics retailing shops in the national capital, Accra.
What informed my decision to become and nurse and have other sources of income was the death of my parents especially my father (who died as a result of his inability to buy drugs).
I sell hair and cosmetics (body creams, perfumes, hair creams of different kinds) at Kokomlemle, Accra. I do this so I can continuously support patients who are incapable of paying their medical bills.
The typical costs I incur are transportation cost and carriages on goods purchased for my shops.

Loan Proposal

I wish to doff my hat to my lenders and the Zidisha team for the first loan I received. I remain very appreciative for your kindness.

I have ran out of some hair products including creams as a result of the Ghana @60 anniversary celebration. A lot of ladies especially patronized my goods during this short period.
With this, I would please like to appeal for a loan of GHS 119.00 to buy some of these products that I do not have in stock before Easter.
I hope this humble request would meet your usual kind consideration and approval.

Kind Regards
