About Me

I am a 28year old lady,i grew up at Gatundu where i studied primary school and secondary school. i joined college and acquired a diploma in secretarial where i worked at Nyamangara secondary from 2012-2013.Currently i am working with Mount kenya university as a secretary at Thika branch.I started my business at Juja for Gas supply and women shoes after i joined MKU.This idea arose after went out looking for shoe in the morning and i could not get it withing the area after mine missed from my balcony.I looked at the potential that the university students had to this business and i decided to implement the idea.Through my savings i started the business with $300 where i paid rent and purchased rent and a permit. The space was big enough so a friend also advised me to avail gas for them.I pass my time reading, swimming and learning from friends.

My Business

My business supplies women shoes and gas refill. The environment is highly populated with Jkuat students and working class. This two teams demand for decent shoes and most popular method for cooking is gas. This kind of business is easier to operate, considering am also a career woman,it serves the people and improve the livelihood of people. My major cost is rent, stock and wage where by rent is $56 and wage $67.The unit cost of gas $10 and selling price is $14.My avarage sales per month is 80units which gives me an avarage profit $320.The women shoes cost $3 per pair and selling at $5 per pair.My sales have an avarage of 90pairs a month equivalent to an avarage profit of $180.If i less my costs my avarage profit is an avarage of $370 a month. My profits i used to reinvest, pay school fees and personal development.

Loan Proposal

I am planning to use the loan to purchase an extra 10 pieces of cooking gas equivalent to $100.This will ensure that i utilize every chance of a willing buyer and not loose customer confidence. This will in return improve my profits by about $40 a week by getting this extra units. This will work way up in building growth that i might look foward in expanding at Kenyatta university.I congratulate all who came up with this idea it really has changed my peers who joined before and i now know my dream of spreading all over kenya is closer to become true.Thank you
