About Me

Am a single mum of a 13 year old boy in class 8 and due to sit for the National Exam in November and proceed to high school God willing come next year . Am currently living in Section 58 with my mum after my dad passed on in 2002, where I also do my business. I went to Christ The King High school and later to Mohanlal Sukhadia University.I ventured into business out of passion to empower the youth. Am hoping that with Zidisha support am able to upgrade my computers to TFTs since I have the old models, to own a scanner, bidding machine, a photocopy machine and also grow and own my shop to be a bookshop too someday.

My Business

I started my cyber cafe business in 2007 at section 58 after i had searched for a job for a long time with no success. My main aim was to help youthful job seekers prepare for job interviews by helping them write their CVs,resume, job application letters, research work, thesis and article writing among others.I have 5 desk top computers and one employee who helps me out.On a good day I make up to Kshs. 3000 after deducting overheads, utilities and internet. The reason I joined Zidisha is because of the need to see my business grow to another level where I can buy more computers and get a bigger space for my business

Project Proposal

Next door to my home there is a construction works of two storeys each of 5 floors upstairs for residential housing property of 2 rooms and 3 rooms underway. The work will take 3 to 4 years to finish. Am cooking for the construction workers breakfast at 10am, lunch at 1pm and tea at 4pm hence l need equipment like utensils, cups, pots, spoons to be able to serve 70 construction workers meals daily. I also will use the funds to buy foodstuff too for the workers hence appealing for you to walk with me on this journey. Am happy to be doing this since times are tough and work is limited. Foodstuff is also very expensive but with your help l can manage to plan and feed the workers. Looking forward to work with you again.
