Am 21 years and a hardworking person, did my primary level in gome primary school, went to secondry sch. that is st. charles lwanga and now am doing a shipping course in college in Bandari college. I work as a casual worker in kenya petroleum refinery ltd for 8 months. In life i don't let problems overcome me, i work hard to succeed through thick and thing. In sec. sch. i did agriculture as a subject and was exited to rare rabbits. After completing my o-level i decided to know more about the raring of rabbits and making it as a business. Joining act of life organization i got the exposure of getting more knowledge on keeping and selling of rabbits. The people i live around with are helpful in many different ways. I like doing research and playing football as a hobby.
My business is of selling grade rabbits for meat and skin. The rabbit meat is especially in high demand in kenyan coastal beach hotels. I have been getting orders to supply in identified butcheries. I chose this business because i have passion of doing it from secondary school. The cost of production is based on commercial pellets which can be purchased from animal feed manufacturers. The rabbits will consume about 25 g of pellets per day which will translate to 2.25 Kg in 90 days. At 90 days the dressed weight will be between 1-1.2kg. Therefore the feed/pellets will cost $1 and i am able to sell the meat at between $4 and $5 per kilogram dressed wait in addition to labour, depreciation of the houses and other infrastructure, transport to market. The profits i get i bank to add up and invest more in my business.
My business is of selling rabbits for meat and skin. i started this business and its doing great but i really need a loan to expand the rabbits house since they are breading and expanding and i need the loan to build a bigger house and will add with little of my savings to make it more better. i want up to date house which will give the rabbits free space and live comfortable with less stress. This loan will help me expand the business. Materials and labor will cost me $156 for the construction of the house. $96 will come from the loan and $60 will come from my own savings. Am looking forward to get this loan and expand the business.
