I am a married Kenyan with two children. My home county is Siaya,Siaya District,North Gem division,Maliera sub location, Am a teacher by profession. I started my primary education at Usingo primary school and did my KCPE in 1987 and attained 425 marks out of 700 marks i then joined Nyanganga secondary school and did my KCSE in the year 1992 and attained grade C+ (plus).I later ECDE college in the 2006 - 2007 and attained Certificate in ECDE. In 2009 - 2010 I did Diploma in ECDE from a government college. My hobby is interacting with needy children in the community to be able to assist them where i can
I currently run a small community school with a population of 300 pupils.I will use the loan to construct two more toilets. I will pay back the loan with school fees collected from the parents.Members of the community prefer our school because of the basic quality education that we offer to the children compared to our competitors.I chose this kind of business to enable me earn income and most importantly improve the life of future generation by providing quality and accessible education to members of the community. My business is profitable since we offer services in exchange for money. My business faces the risk of some parents failure to pay school fees due to financial challenges that they encounter. My typical monthly income is currently USD 1700 and my monthly expenses is USD 1000. My current monthly net profit also is 700 USD. I always use my profit to buy more learning materials at school and to pay my bills at home which include educating my two children who are currently in university.
I will use the loan to construct a play ground for children in my school. Since I moved to my current premise, it has been a lot of renovations going on to make the place become child friendly. Now during rainy season it becomes so challenging since water floods around the school and it forces us to keep children I'll classes the whole day denying them the right to play. If I construct this play ground the children and parents would love it and this would be likely to improve the school population from an average of 250 to 300. I will use the loan to buy 15 bags of cement at 100 dollars, sand worth 50 dollars, gravel worth 50 dollars, Stones with 150 dollars, labour charge 80dollars. Total 430 dollars. From this I expect to increase my income.
