About Me

My name is Daniel Kiragu Wangui, am the first born in a family of two. I have a younger brother called Kelvin ,he is a student right now. I was born in Nairobi but was raised in Nyeri County, Othaya sub-county, Mahiga ward. I was raised by my late grandmother because my late mum was not capable. I joined Mahiga Primary School, then Kenyatta high school and attended Machakos University for my tertiary education where I pursued BSc statistics and programming. I graduated in 2021. Growing up I was taught to always work hard and also in church. Growing up hasn't been easy as I had to work extra hard to achieve my dreams. Throughout my education journey I was always a top among the top performers because I believe o9nly hard and smart would change my fate. to achieve my goal I always find solutions and work hard to navigate the challenge ahead. Computers has always been my thing and in university level I did programming so that's when I decided to start a cyber café. most people in Othaya are not very into digital platform so everything they need they must visit the cyber for help. Right am single. I like reading and watching movies to pass time.

My Business

I have a cyber café known as Backyard cyber and computers where we offer the following service, printing, type setting, binding, computer packages, application of all government services like kra pin registration, application of passport, all ntsa services under E citizen, selling of stationaries, selling movies and series, card designs like weeding, graduation, burial brochures, fundraising cards too. we also flash phones but the client must have all the required documents to prove ownership. these services are in demand as most people including students must print of business plans, drivers renewing their driving licenses, weeding card, burial brochures, internet access, selling of stationaries. my community really need these services and are in demand. I choose this kind of business because most of the old generation were facing lot of challenges on acquiring cyber services because there was only one cyber in the area and so i decide to bring in competition as new ideas too. I am looking for around 30000 to add a computer as am anticipating student joining to study computer packages. most of the profits goes back to business and the rest home improvements.

Project Proposal

Hello Zidisha Lenders,

First of all I would like to say thank you for the loan opportunity. The funds received I will expand the cyber so that it can be able to hold more computer packages students. I will have a total of 8 students after expansion and each student pays ksh 4000 per month as fees, so I will be able to make around ksh 32000 per month plus other cyber related cyber services. I will also need three more computers for the students.
am also looking forward to start poultry farming where I will keep both the egg laying chickens and the meat ones. right now there is high demand of eggs where 0ne egg costs ksh 15 meaning if I can keep 200 chickens I can be able to generate 3k daily. The meat ones if I can keep the same 200 chickens each goes ksh 450 per kilo which will amount to 90k. now both the layers and meat chickens, feeding plus their sheds will cost around kshs 60000.

I will expand the students study area in my cyber café. It will help to have more students thus generate much income. I know this is just the start, so thank you so much.
