About Me
My name is Brigitte Sanou. I have three children: one girl in elementary school and two boys in high school. I was born in the waterfall. My father is an IDE at the health level working as a registered nurse and I am his first daughter. He is in the north of Burkina Faso, in the Yatenga province, with my mother and brothers. I married at the age of 20 and my husband works as driver to Bobo [translators note: Bobo is the 2nd largest city in Burkina Faso]. My husband is of the Mossi people and his parents are also in Bobo, in the 11 colma sector. My husband drives practically the whole country with his truck. When I started to sell fresh fish, he purchased a refrigerator to allow me to preserve the fish during transport. I pay for the fish and for its transport to Bobo in the Loop of Mouhoun. The fishermen sell us the fish by the platter and we resell it by the kilogram. My fish shop is located on the Dedougou road, not far from the Bridge of Sakabi.
My Business
I will start my sharing my greetings to the entire Zidisha microfinance team and Zidisha members. I rent a shop for 15,000 francs each month in order to sell my fresh fish. The price of the fish varies according to its quality. There are many types of fish, such as catfish and a varieties of the Capitaine species. I pay for fish in towns and villages where there are dams of water.
I also pay for electricity which costs between 12,500 and 15,000 francs each month. I have one girl that sells fish with me. In my shop, I have a refrigerator, two electric scales, two tables, two chairs, and three benches for the clients. I am very happy with my business because it allows me to be independent and to provide for the needs of my parents, my friends that are facing difficulties, and my family. I am able to save more than 20-30 thousand francs each month. I wish to obtain your credit to open many stores so that I can sell my fish in various neighborhoods of the city. Je m’appelle Brigitte Sanou j’ai trois enfants dont une fille et deux garçons, tous les deux garçons sont au niveau du lycée et la fille fait le primaire. Je suis né dans le cascade mon père est I D E au niveau de la santé comme un infirmier diplômé d’état et je suis sa première fille, actuellement il est vers le nord du Burkina dans le yatenga avec ma mère et mes frères. C’est à l âge de vingt ans que je me suis mariée et mon mari est un transporteur à bobo dans ma ville natale, mon mari est un mossi et tous ces parents sont à bobo dans le secteur 11 colma. Mon mari fait pratiquement le tour du pays avec son camion. J’ai commencé à vendre du poison frais, il m’a payé un réfrigérateur pour me permettre de conserver du poison c’est dans la boucle du mouhoun que je paie du poison et transporter à bobo, les pécheurs nous vendent par plat et nous revendons par kilogramme. Ma poissonnerie est située sur la route de Dédougou non loin du pont de sakabi.

Je commence à transmettre mes salutations à toute l’ équipe Zidisha micro finance et les membres. Il y’a des poissons silures, des poissons capitaines et bien d’autres .Je paie du poisson dans des villes et des villages ou il y a des barrages d’eaux, j’ai aussi abonné à la société d’électricité ou je paie par mois plus de 12500 francs à 15000 mille francs. J’ai une fille qui vend avec moi, dans ma poissonnerie j’ai un réfrigérateur deux balances électroniques, deux tables, deux chaises et trois bancs pour les clients. Je suis très contente de mon activité car elle m’a permis d’être indépendante, et de venir toujours aux besoins de mes parents, des amis qui sont en difficultés et à ma famille. J’arrive à épargner plus vingt à trente mille francs par moi. Je souhaite obtenir votre crédit pour ouvrir beaucoup de poissonnerie dans des secteurs de la ville de bobo et transporter du poisson dans des provinces et les départements, je vous quitte avec beaucoup d’espoir.
