I am a business lady aged 34, single, born in a family of 7, and I have 5 children - 3 boys and 2 girls all aged 21 and bellow. Life has not been easy due to the fact that I failed school and being a single mother, the only second thought that came into my mind for survival was to start business - selling rappers commonly known as chitenge material in Southern/Central Africa. This business has really helped me to sustain my family and send my children to School.
My key strengths include:
My deep desire has always been to develop my business into a big business, whereby I will be able to sustain my family and meet the needs of the underprivileged in society, but always finding enough capital has been a problem. The little capital that I had acquired has seen my business through upto this time. Though its been difficult to grow due to the limited and insufficient funds, sometimes hand to mouth, we have survived by the grace of God. The rappers on high demand in this part of the nation, but enough capital has been a great and unbearable burden to me. This has crippled my business. And as a result the financial problem (limited capital) prompted me to search for affordable loans, it has not been easy, until finally I was introduced to Zidisha by my friend and good Samaritan. Immediately I foresaw and predicted the relief. And I also vowed that I will carefully and jealously use the loan given to me.
The rappers costs $4.50/rapper order price and we sell at $75/rapper.
The little profit that I make from my business helps me to improve my home, send my children to school and growing my business.
If I am funded of which I have hope I be funded, I will use the loan money as follows:
1. Rappers at $100
2. Transport from the capital city at $70
This loan will greatly help boost my business to the next level and help sustain my family and pay school fees for my children. And I expect my profit to increase by 40%.
