About Me

Hello my name is Bryan I’m a graduate from kips college with a degree in electronic engineering after I finished school I was unable to find work anywhere no matter how hard I tried it was to no avail and with my mom and younger siblings depending on me i had to do odd jobs just to get us by that’s when I realized that this was a wide spread problem in Kenya that young people complete school and cannot be absorbed into the existing work force so that’s when I used the savings I had from working odd jobs to start CHOPPIES a crisp company with it I would be able to not provide for myself but to provide employment for the youths in my community as well while also addressing the need for affordable high quality snacks.

My Business

With over 70%percent of snack products on shelves having been imported and still only catering for less than 50%percent of the consumer demand which is expected to grow with an ever increasing middle class in Kenya CHOPPIES which is also the branding name we use for our crisp products seeks to fill this gap with our high quality low cost products, we make flavored potato crisps with a variety of up to five flavors which are tomato flavor, onion flavor, lemon, garlic and plain our current market is mainly small shops and local wholesalers and we are looking to expand our footprint across Nairobi we currently have a stuff of 5people and we have a daily output of about 500packets of 15grams with each packet retailing for 10sh.50grams with each retailing for 50sh

Project Proposal

Buying raw materials which is another two sacks of potatoes we can usually buy about four we are partnering with zidisha to increase our purchase to six to cater for more consumers and allow us to maintain the good relationships we have with our suppliers
