I was employed by the Ghana Education Service (GES) as a professional teacher after obtaining my Diploma in Education. I started another studies with University of Education Winneba by distance learning and now had my Degree in Education. Currently, I am teaching at Presby Primary “A” School Berekum. I am handling I C T from primary one to primary six.
MY HOBBIES
My hobbies are; reading books , playing with children and making friends all over the world.
Oyster Mushroom Cultivation
For about a year and half now, I started mushroom cultivation after a successful completion of a 2 years mushroom cultivation course at Wenchi Farm Institute in the BRONG Ahafo Region of Ghana in the year 2012.The type of mushroom I am producing is Oyster Mushroom. There are many opportunity out there but I opt mushroom cultivation simply because of it nutritional value in the first place. Secondly, the fact that only few people are into its cultivation in our Region. As a result of that, the demand is high in the market since all and sundry likes it. To be honest I regretted the first time I started growing the mushroom, because I was finding it difficult to get all the facilities needed for the production since every step in the production of mushroom must be done with care. Production will be maximized if the facilities are good and the standard procedures are well established. In spite of all this challenges I did not give up but continue and the third time of my production was very successful. I am now able to produce 5000 compost bags of mushroom and it gives 1000kg of mushroom per cycle and I can produce 6 cycles within a year.
Furthermore, the good news is because it is rich source of protein; vitamins etc all the people in my town and afar have approved it and it always run out in market. I have employed 6 peoples who are working with me and at the same time learning to become mushroom producers. By the grace of God, this mushroom business is booming. I am proud to be a mushroom farmer.
REPAYMENT OF LOAN
I generate a lot of profit from this business; also I am a salary worker and promise to pay my loan from these two sources my income. Thank you.
I am pleading with Lenders to support me with a loan of $854 this time round as they have been doing for my previous loans. I want to increase the production of compost bags of mushroom and the need has arisen to expand my shelves to accommodate it. I am going to use $380 for the buying of wood and for shelves making. I am also going to use $314 of the money to buy Oyster mushroom spawn and the rest $160 to buy set of mushroom grow bag. Thanks for supporting me.
