I am Agnes Akrugu. I am 36 years of age. I am a Ghanaian by birth because my both parents are all Ghanaians. I come from Tamale. I belong to Alhaji babatundde family. My mother is a millet farmer. She is called Amina Salifu. I am a high school graduate Though my passes werenot goodenough to enable me further myeducation. I love to received a national best farmer award one day in the near future.
My mainoccupation is milletfarming. it is the main source of income to myfamily. i own 4 acres of millet farm now. I startedthis business with a little amount. Therefore much of the farming work wassoely doneby me without anyhelp . During thefirst season l harvested two and half pol ofmillet intothe city. The income I recievedreally helped in expanding my farming business. Many youthof today disregard farmingwork thinking thatit is the work ofthe poor or the less previlage or lower class people in the society. Butto me, farming is the best job one can think of providedone gets enough support or funds toaid in the business.
Farming work is good lucrative. Most especially millet farming. At our part of the worldwhere there is no better jobavailable than farming, I prefer to farm in amore fertile soil. To geta firtile soil to farm on highly requires the useofartificial fertilizer. I need this funds to buy morefertilizer so that my farm will be OK.
