I have grown up in Githurai and still residing in Githurai. I am married and blessed with 3 children whereby the first born is in secondary school while the others are in local primary school. My wife is employed in local chain store whereby she is the cashier. I have set up a small hardware in the community which involves selling building materials and also small scale farming. Proceeds from the business is used to meet family expenses and savings while my wife salary is used to paying school fees to our child who is in secondary while those in primary are enjoying free primary education through government policy as this gives my business opportunity to expand.
I love doing business thus I have been actively engaged in running hardware business and small scale farming. The hardware business involves selling building and construction materials to the local people and the demand is high because there are many construction sites in our community while in farming I have small scale poultry where I keep chicken for eggs and meat. I have employed two assistants who usually assist me in day to day activities but over the holidays, my daughter who is in secondary school usually assist in managing poultry. I
My poultry business has been in operation for two years and it involves keeping poultry layers for eggs whereby they are sold locally but due to demand for chicks I intend to hatch the eggs using the incubator thus I kindly request Zidisha members to support me to buy the egg incubator which will cost $ 194. I have managed to save $ 44 towards the buying of the egg incubator and now I kindly request the zidisha lenders to support me with $ 150 to enable me buy the incubator which will increase my profit because I will be in position to sale the chicks as well as eggs.
