About Me

My name is Collins Rugendo. I live in Tharaka-Nithi county Chuka Estate. I came from a family of four in which am the second born. I live with my father since my mother passed away when i was in high school. I am a christian with Redeemed Gospel Church where I serve as a youth leader and a peer counsellor coordinator . I am also a motivational speaker. I went to Kangoro day secondary school and then Muranga University of Technology where I undertook Bachelors in Human Resource Management. I was able to raise my college fees through working on my farm as a farmer. Throughout my life I have had the passion for farming but due to inadequate funds I have been forced to work on a small piece of land available at home. The little i get from my farm has helped put food on the table for our family.

My Business

As a farmer i have been involved in this field for five years now. I mainly grow tomatoes, vegetables and onions. I sell my products to schools around and also take some to retailers in the market at Chuka town. Its my passion to plant and sell for money so that i can successfully achieve financial stability and also feed my family.

Project Proposal

I'm intending to buy broiler chicks for meat purposes . I am currently receiving orders for chicken meat from the clients I normally supply eggs to and this project will definitely make that plan a success.
