About Me

I am a 37 year old lady,I have three children of my own,one girl and two boys and one adopted boy. They are aged,2,9 and 16 and 14 systematically. I am married and we live together in a two bedroomed house as earlier described. I am a trained HIV counselor and I have also trained in home based nursing care. The reason I haven't gotten a job in this field is because I haven't collected my certificate after completion of the course,as I still have a balance of shs.17000. Apart from that,I have other skills like hair dressing and beauty ,which i have learnt overtime from watching othet skilled people and eould have loved to do it professionally, but couldnt raisr the funds.Well my main passion lies in sales and marketing and I love to do my own invented work. I sing too, although I haven't had the chance to sing professionally.

My Business

I started my business in 2011 after quitting my research job where I was an interviewer, travelling around Kenya and my husband wanted me to settle down and be more around the kids. I sold my sofa sets and started operating on door to door doing beauty, facials and nail care to my clients. I also did wedding make up. we later moved to wangige but by then we were living in Riruta satellite which is also my home area. we were financially down then so I had to sell most of my beauty stuff, but continued doing nail care and occasionally here especially dread locks to make ends meet. i t was tough as I was also expecting my baby girl and the pregnancy was complicated. I developed sciatica which really limited me to do much. actually I stayed in for almost two years. I went yo work for a company selling shoes called wide shoe but maids have been a thorn in the flesh very frustrating, so I decided to quit employment and give my time to my own business since I am also good in sales. I have decided to incorporate general shop, green grocery with dairy products, a quick snack bar, that is make tea and sandwiches, and continue doing nails and massages now that I have a body massage machine on the side. I also intend to add more products like clothes and shoes as this will help me make an extra buck because my son is going to form one and I still haven't made any savings in readiness.

Loan Proposal

When I started,I was making tea and snacks, but I have added chips and smokies and some boiled foods like beans and maize(githeri) and my customers don't have a place to seat as they eat, hence I want to buy some portable seats and table plus an outdoor umbrella so they I can also attract more customers. There's also not much space inside the shop, so I need this portables so they can seat outside where its also fresh and airly.

Halli zidisha,I am very happy with your timely disbursement of shs. 6248 that I have already received. Unfortunately, the health people have authorised closure of my business I I don't change into something esle other than an eating joint since the road that is not yet tamacked runs right outside the shop hence there's a lot of dust but I can assure you I keep it clean. Therefore I have already transformed the place into a general shop and green grocery which the I am yet to purchase at a cost of she. 3000 and the rest by some more shop items like sweets and many other items. This means that the sooner I finish repaying this loan I will require more funding to add to my inventory. Yet still without this loan I wouldn't have been able to turn this around. Thank you very much for the loan and I hope to do much much more. Thank you very much and be blessed

My dear zidisha lenders. This has been a dream come true for me. I will now be able to buy the portable table and chairs and an outdoor umbrella where my customers will be seating as they enjoy their tea or chips or boiled githeri(maize and beans). This will greatly impact on the business and I am projecting a further profit of around 20%. I thank you greatly and I pray to God to bless you in a big way and continue with the same spirit. I will continually keep you updated on my progress. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of my children who are greatly enjoying the benefits.

I would like to thank zidisha as it has given me hope and it's the light at the end of the tunnel. I noe know I can finally be able to provide a better life to my children and also to myself. Zidisha has given me hope. Now I can also take my kids out for tours around the city and provide what they need for their day to day endeavours. Thank you zidisha. I'm with you all the way

I have not been operating for about two months now due to the current situation in our country. I didn't want adjustment just a little time to be able to come up with some money to pay,if given another week will pay up the accrued balance. Thank you
