my names are fred otieno and currently live in Mwiyala kakamega. For now I'm student studying accounts part time in sigalagala polytechnic but during the day i busy myself with my business of pig farming.

My Business

i do pig farming a business i started 2 years ago after attending a training in KEMRI Kenya.
in my village we are only 2 farmers doing pig farming and this gave me the motivation to venture in this business as there was no competition.
In my business i do fattening of swine with 7 pigs, and three others who are being fattened for 4 to 5 months; the type of pig to fatten is the Korhogo race, the target market is the local market.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy pig feed - sow and weaner.
With time I intend to increase the loan amount so that I manage my sow and six gilts. I will sell four after six months and retain two for breeding.
Good returns are expected from the sell of mature pigs after around six to seven months from now.
