I was born and brought up in a village called Dwomo. I had my basic education there and continued my senior high school at Duayaw Nkwanta. Since I had a poor financial background, I could not continue with my education but rather resorted to hustling since I knew how to barber.
I hawked round in Accra barbering people. I was able to raise some amount of money and then established a barbering shop at Duayaw Nkwanta in a wooden structure (kiosk). I have been able to hire a storeroom and employed another worker.
The shop is at a very good and strategic place in that it is sited at a four junction where a lot of people pass. The place is very very busy so it makes people patronize the shop.
I wished I could be a teacher in life. Since I could not achieve this ambition, I always wish and pray that my children grow up and achieve this dream. I want them to attend school to the highest level of their capabilities. The children are treasures given to parents by God. So, I want my children to aspire in their endeavors. My children should go go go go go go go go go go go and go high. The sky should be their limit.
My best hobby is checkers. I enjoy playing it and does during my leisure hours. There are other games like soccer.
I barber and get paid for that. I barber not less than 30 people daily at 4 ghc per head. I am capable of paying off any loan which will be given to me. I also operate mobile money from all networks and I have employed people to help me. I believe getting the loan will help me as well as the people who work under me. I decided to go into it some years back and later used it to continue my bachelor of education degree. I have used this work to sustain myself and my family for all these while. I help students and other needy students at church. I am a Catholic and I have prompted my parish priest to draw my attention to brilliant but needy students. Some I give full payments of fees and others I give part depending on the circumstances. I have decided to support them in other for them to achieve academically without struggle like I went through.
I am going to start small by buying lubricants for my shop. I am financially constrained a little but I want to start small so that will be able to fulfill my duties to my family and community as well as my church. Each lubricant cost between $1 to $3. I will be able to maintain my machines I use to work and hopefully if am able to secure a larger loan move to a bigger shop and employ more people to work for me as well as sponsor more people in my community to achieve a more meaningful purpose in life. I love my wife and kids and I want them to follow suit.
