About Me

My name is Emmanuel. I was born in western Kenya among the Luhya community. This community has a rich culture which they are very proud of. There are many traditional games that take place to date such as wrestling and bull fighting.

I was raised up there then went to school for formal education. I however do not have any post school training and that limited chances of me getting a good job. I later landed a job in Mombasa as a night guard and that I what I do for a living.

I also sell small household items as a side business so as to supplement my income.

My Business

Apart from my job, I sell small household items outside the building that I guard. These items include drinking water, biscuits, sweets and tissue paper. I just started off recently and so far the business is promising.

It is currently giving me a profit of about $15 per week and this is very important since it is adding up to my salary. The combined income is used to maintain my family which is made up of my wife and one child.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to buy three dozens of bottled water at total of $8. I will then use the remaining money to buy rolls of tissue papers and serviettes. These items are always in demand and I hope to do a good business once I get the new stock.

The increased sales will mean more income and therefore success to me.
