I come from a very humble background, born and raised in the city of Nairobi and of Kikuyu ethnic. Went through Primary, Secondary and college and attained my Diploma in French language and Tours and travel. I have grown to see my parents work so hard to make sure that we had food on the table and went through school with no hassles. I love fashion and more so travelling and thats where the passion to start my own business came into my mind of course through my friends.... I used to carry goods to the offices and sell there and one friend came up with a suggestion, why dont you look for a shop and stock your stuff there....i do not believe today how far i have come from with just a pair of lesso and masai sandals...
I love my country which is a touristic destination. Kenya is well know for its people and language, food, music and dance, art, artifacts, theatre and literature to its ethnic values and ethical norms. Combined with other traditions, these forms of expression and lifestyle form an identity that is uniquely Kenyan. My best hobby is travelling, love to experience and discover new destinations, taste their food, learn their culture and ofcourse return with souvenirs from those destinations.
Talante Botik is a wholly owned Kenyan business founded in 2010. We deal in a wide range of commodities from Curios, Kikois, Khangas, Cosmetics Jewellery, Hair products...etc... Our products and materials are sourced locally & internationally from renowned suppliers. The beauty shop sells high quality cosmetic products, maasai shukas, masaai sandals, weaved bags & much more.....Our clients are not limited to any age group.
We already have 2 branches located in Kiamumbi, out of the hard work i have instilled in my business. Talante botik has employed 2 employees. From the profits , i reinvest to grow the business by adding more stuff. Am so passionate about travel and this is where the idea of starting my own business came up. Started off with a pair of lesso and masaai sandals and that was the birth of my new baby Talante Botik. So far have been to Tanzania, Uganda, Kigali, Addis and have an upcoming trip to Dubai to see what i can bring.

I intend to get an inventory management system that will help me control and monitor my sales. This will be to the benefit of myself and my employees as there will be discipline in the management of cash and will be able to bank more in my account.
So far I have 2 employees and am looking at relocating to a shopping mall complex that is under construction and i want by the end of the year, my sales would be up in that when i go to the new shop is just a matter of shifting and not thinking where will i raise $2000 to start off.
