My name is Asenath. Born in Meru. This is a typical rural set up with but with fairly good infrastructure like electricity supply. I went to primary and later secondary school for my education. I later joined a training college where I enrolled for a certificate course in computer applications. I later relocated to gilgil where I got a job in a photo shop where I was employed as a computer operator. I worked there for about 2 years and later decided to start my own business.
My business is selling mobile phone accessories. I started the business one and a half years ago when I realized that there is a big potential in the industry. In kenya everybody wants to buy the phone in fashion. This helps to move my accessories. The biggest challenge is the rate of change in the industry. The frequency of change demands frequent capital input. This trend slows me down in my growth estimation due to lack of adequate capital. My customers are mostly young people
I will use this money to further boost my inventory of mobile phone accessories. This business demands that I keep up the trend of modern phones and I sometimes fail to catch up with the fast pace that this area is moving. This will increase my sales further and translate into more profit in my business.
