About Me

My name is Daniel. I live in Mombasa city having relocated here two years ago. I was born in central Kenya where I attended my primary and secondary school education. I then joined my brother who does business in Mombasa.

During my stay in Mombasa, I enrolled for a short course in computer applications where I learned a number of standard computer packages. I later did a course in video editing which later helped me a lot when I opened a studio slightly over a year ago.

My Business

After completing my course, m,y brother helped with some finances to start up a small studio where I do video editing work for my clients. The work entails working on raw video to an output that a client desires - usually in form of DVDs.

It is a fairly new business but through hard work, I have gained a number of clients. I want to build on this success to grow the business even bigger in the years to come. I am currently making about $150 per month after all the expenses are paid. This is the money that I use for my upkeep. I am hoping that this amount will keep growing with time.

Loan Proposal

I work in a very hot and humid coastal city. This makes me uncomfortable especially during midday and afternoon. My studio badly needs a ceiling fan so as to beat the heat and enable me work throughout the day.

This fan will cost me $25 and I will do the fitting myself since I have some knowledge in installation of such gadgets. This will be good for me, my machines and my clients.
