About Me
I was born in 1973 in Nairobi city ,my father used to work in this city as a bus conductor those days.Later on my mother moved to our rural village to tend the farm there.This is where i started my education in 1980. In 1989 i completed my primary school education then proceeded to high school where i finished in 19993.After secondary school my parents didn't have enough money to take me to college so i became a newspaper vendor in Nairobi.I used to stay in Korogocho slums and i daily commuted to town.it is at this time that i saw an advertisement on a paper of a college opportunity.By this time i knew that without a college course i was doomed to fail in life.
I loved being my own boss so this course in electrical installation was the best thing for me.My father had no money but he sold his only cow after my aunt said it was the only way to emancipate our family.After college i became self employed as an electrician up to today.
I have two kids and would love them to be self reliant and strong in life.i love reading a lot and inspiring people to achieve their goals like me.
My Business
My business involves installing electricity at my clients homes and also selling them this electrical accessories. Basically it involves giving them a quotation which means i visit their homes and design the electrical wiring plus writing down all materials needed, then i supply this materials at a fee plus i charge the labor costs.
Our country is experiencing rapid growth in the energy sector and there is a lot of focus in making electricity reach rural homes,this has brought a lot of demand on my line of business.
I Chose this line of work due to its versatility and sustainability.I have repeat customers as there is continuous breakdowns and upgrades.I usually make about 30 percent profits on every deal, which to me is good return in profits.
Use the money to grow the business ,feed the family and educate my two lovely boys
