My name is Kelvin Maina Waithera, Born in Nairobi part of Kenya. I undertook my primary level in the village Murang'a County where my mother comes from, which is also my home land.Mihuti primary school is the institution i joined in the year 1998 and later finished in the year 2006 after a successful course. I later joined high school in the year 2007 a school known as Ridgeways in currently Kiambu county which back then was a district. I completed my high school level in the year 2010. This is when i started hustling i got a small job as a shopkeeper for about a year then later started working the industrial area where i dealt with off loading and loading of shoes in containers. I started this job so that i could at least get a chance to save and pay for my college fees because i still wanted to continue with my studies. I however managed to do so and undertook Business Management in Dominion College. I undertook this course while i was still working balancing the hustle with school which was a little bit of a challenge to me because without the work it would mean that i dont have fees for my course. During this time, i met a friend who had bought a new motor bike and was selling his previous one. We agreed that i would buy the motor bike in installments because he was a good friend who understood my situation. I was going to use this motorbike for transportation..while in transportation business,a friend of mine introduced me to zidisha organisation which i got to know more about them and i was convinced that they would be of help to the challenges i was going through of which i applied fot the first loan and it was succesfully funded..i used the loan to upgrade the status of the motocyle and was able to serve customers without any probles thus made profit as was able to save something small of which i added to loan2 i acquired again from zidisha and started a clothe selling business..i am very grateful to zidisha because they are making my dream come true and akso being able to expand my mind without fear
Hi lenders, while still in clothe selling business i have to say i got a chance to expand my mind businesswise...i got to meet a client from a place called kisii..a place of about 350km from Nairobi the capital city and we got talking..in our conversation,he was telling me of how they tire to come all the way to buy goods in Nairobi and that made me have an idea of taking them there since i employed someone and he has gained experience such that he can be able to manage the business even in my absense..i intend to still continue with what i sell..ie inner pants of both male and female and also for children so if i get financial assistance am sure that plan will work out well..i already have a place i can put the items if i go there and am only targeting wholesale customers..for now am not able to depend fully on myself on that and thats why i always take zidisha as my close helper..wholesale selling needs much capital because sometimes you make less profit per dozen which is good because you wil be able to sell many different varieties/dozens hence making profit..i am thinking of adding many varieties than usual so that i attract customers of different interests on goods..i believe with a financial boost,i will be able to execute that plan and yes life is more going to improve hence the community at large since the more i progress, the more i grow and also gain experience and be able to advice others about business hence grow together..i will put the effort needed for better service to my customers..as for now i wil use the running bussiness to repay this loan if succesfully funded..i am humbly waiting for your response..Thank you and may almighty Lord continue being with you.
With the loan disbursed, I will be able to buy varieties of items at a higher quantities and that will increase my earning hence better living standards..i mostly specialise in panties, beikas, vests, boxers and others..according to the price I purchase at..
Panties -6usd and sells at 7usd making a profit of 1usd.
Beikas-10usd and sells at 12usd making a profit of 2usd.
Vest-5usd and sells at 7usd making a profit of 2usd.
Boxers -6usd and sells at 7usd making a profit of 2usd. And also other items..so the profit I make per item is less so the the more items and varieties I have, the more profit I make..i would really appreciate if u fund my business. Thank you
