About Me

I am Evans Gaetano Khasamba, a young, focused and determined person.
Having been born and brought up in a humble background, I got the urge to work even harder in life so as to overcome the challenges that we faced as a family.
All through my schooling, I had to perform extra chores so as to meet the requirements at school. This enabled me to be determined in making my future prosperous.
After school, I started on casual labour that enabled me to save so as to gain capital in order to start up a business.
After saving a total of Kshs. 11,500, I looked around to realise that my home area had a lot of construction works going on and no nearby shops were available to provide lighting materials to the potential clients.
Ghats when I ventured into the business with a stock of few bulbs, switches and power extensions. Through this, I attracted many clients to my small shop and therefore created a market for myself and my products.
The business has now grown and I intend to make it a an empire of its own by creating a larger market and also expanding my territories.
I currently look forward to growing higher by increasing stocks and having variety so as to maintain my client levels and also to improve the business perfomance

My Business

I am a permanent salaried employee and also doing business in the home lighting industry.
My interest in the business came about after my personal research showed that there was more demand than supply in the market.
I decided to put my savings in the business and after a try with some few bulbs, switches, sockets and power extensions, the business proved to be a success. I therefore committed my free time to the same and would spend my off duty hours in marketing my merchandise and also doing random sales to potential buyers.
Within two months, I had established a shop and was now working hard to stock it as per the customers demands.
I created a conducive business environment for my clients by bringing whatever they needed at their disposal.
I currently have direct supplies to specific clients whom we had a working agreement and through that my business has grown from one level to another.
I normally seek for new merchandise in the market that I believe will impress my clients and also customized items as per the customers needs.
I now plan to open up a bigger shop and also in different locations so as to grow bigger and also to attract more clients hence expanding my territories.

Loan Proposal

I will find a bigger space for my business that will help in creating more space for stocks.
This will in return enable me to have sufficient stock levels in my stores that will help in timely delivery of merchandise to my clients.
It will also help in attaining set targets for the business that in return help in the day to day running of the same.
As a way of attracting more clients, I will also create a demo zone that will be used in displays so as to create more awareness to my clients and all other potential buyers that will visit my stores.
This will be an advantage since such displays will provide an upper hand to the activity as compared to other businesses that have not embraced cross merchandising of their items.
