About Me

My name is Awuah Dapaah from Accra-Ghana. My parents are from the Ga-Adangbe lineage. My father is a fisherman who operates at Jamestown, a suburb in Accra and my mother is a fishmonger. They have eight children together and they never had the opportunity to go school, something they never envisage for any of their children. Though they have financial difficulties but they do their outmost best to get us our school needs.I had my early educational training at John Morrison international school. I completed my Junior high school education in the year 2010 and then proceeded to Presbyterian Boys Senior High School in Legon - Accra where i served as a discipline prefect in the year 2012/2013 academic year. I wrote and had A's in all my WASSCE papers and i was given a citation and an award for my contribution in maintaining and instilling discipline in the students during my reign as the discipline prefect. I was employed as a creche teacher by the proprietor of Dream Home creche, and i did the best i could to help the kids to write, read and speak. My work was very outstanding and the proprietor was very much satisfied with my work output.I saved my monthly earnings, even though it was not much but i got money to buy university forms and got admitted into the university of science and technology in Kumasi- Ghana to study pharmacy (B-pharm). The university environment was completely different from home so when i got there i was in difficulties in securing money for my feeding, transportation not to even talk of money to buy books. The little my parent's offered me was not enough and i understood them because they pay the fees of my many other siblings. I decided to operate business alongside my academic studies so that i could use the proceeds to cater for my school expenses.
As a campus businessman who has at heart the zeal to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world. I sell to my course-mates and other sudents quality perfumes and pomades to generate revenue for my school expenses. Business is really good because i have a good number of customers who patronises my products and the revenue too is quite encouraging and outstanding.

My Business

I sell pomades and perfumes to students on campus from which i generate the needed revenue to run the business and cater for my academic cost/expenses. I chose to run this business because of its high revenue generating ability and it's lucrativeness in the school environment. People are in demand for these products because during sunny days the skin becomes dry and they need pomade to moisten their skin and also to maintain the attractiveness of their skin colour. The perfumes also gives them good smell as they might mingle with different people and attend lectures from one place to another which makes them tired and this leads to bad smell in the form of sweat and other forms of excretory waste. The profit i get from the business is reinvested into the business to grow and enlarge it and also pay my tuition fees from the proceeds that come from the business.

Loan Proposal

I need about 113 dollars to cover the cost of procuring more perfumes and pomades to grow the business and also get enough dividend to run the business and repay the loan.
