My name is Erick from Siaya County, Kenya. Currently I am a resident of Nairobi city. I relocated to the city in 2019 to seek employment opportunities after some of my projects in the upcountry did not work well because of low income and returns characterized by minimal purchasing power in the village. My journey through education was not easy but thanks to God, through tireless efforts of my hard-working father and my family, I managed to complete my bachelor's degree. Since then, I have not been able to get a permanent job thus I resorted to doing business which has been met with numerous challenges. This has however not deterred me from forging on. Through struggles in temporary and casual jobs, I was able to save funds that I used to set up a small cyber cafe which I am looking forward to expanding in future. This is therefore the reason for my expression of interest in membership with Zidisha. I am married, and we are blessed with two children who are soon joining school thus the need to boost my income so that I will be able to sort their school fees and other needs in future. I am hereby interested to be a member and aim at growing together with the Zidisha community.
I own a small Cyber Cafe offering photocopy, internet and printing and other computer related services in the neighborhoods of my residential place in Pipeline Embakasi, Nairobi.
Since establishment my business attracted more customers as technology and internet services needs is on the rise. Due to increased customer base, I am looking forward to expanding and diversifying services in order to meet different needs of distinct customers. I therefore opted to seek Zidisha for support in form of loans as I seek general growth of my business and status.
Thanks to the business I can now afford to sort out my bills and thrive in the tough city life. I hope to make more breakthroughs in the responsibilities ahead such as school fees and other recurring expenditures.
