About Me

My name is Lydia from Eldoret ,Kenya. I come from a place called wekhulu in Kakamega. I grew up there and i went to primary school near our home. My mother was a peasant farmer who planted basic food in small scale such as kales, cabbages and maize which we used for our food and sometimes she sold when the produce was a bit high. My father was a business man and he rared chicken as his business. I used to help him with the work in feeding the chicken and collecting eggs. Sometimes i supplied the eggs to the shops when he was busy. After completing primary school i did not continue with education because money was not there. My siblings were still in primary school and i could not allow them to drop out of school so that i could have my education so i sacrificed and let them study. I work with my father and he pays me on commission basis.

My Business

In the business we provide very nutritious indigenous eggs to shops and people around us at affordable costs. We also sell mature chicken as meat to meat vendors. Our services are important because we provide food to people as it is a basic need. I chose this business because i grew up seeing my father take care of chicken and i became interested in the same. This business is also cheap to maintain and does not require alot of complex attention to do it. I sell each egg at 0.1 us dollars and a tray at 3 us dollars. I sell a whole chicken at 4 us dollars and when a person buys more than 3 i give discount of 10% to each. In a good day i sell 5 chicken and a tray of eggs. I use the money to provide for my family, savings and my daily needs.

Loan Proposal

Thank you, i wish to use this loan to buy a bicycle that will assist me in the delivery of my eggs to the market places. The bike that i wish to buy goes for 50 us dollars, with this 7 us dollars, i will buy the bike.
I will benefit so much since my deliveries will be made on time, i highly appreciate the loan
