I am the Third born in a family of three girls and two boys. I was born in Kariobagi. I grew up in a humble Christianity background and went up to O Levels and later joined college. It was not easy because i also had my younger siblings who were in school and father was the only breadwinner. Life was so tough that after one year in college i decided to open a small salon just within the estate. I start making some money and i could now even support my family when they were badly off. The unique thing about our culture is that we are very close to our family members that we have a habit of eating together. Even in a polygamous family you will find that all the women cook in their houses and then the food is brought in one place and people eat together.
I provide different types of cosmetics ranging from body creams, lotions, hair foods and shampoos. I also sell medicated soaps and weaves, human hairs ,cutex and lipstick for ladies. The goods and in demand because i am near salons and they normally hair treatment and relaxers for my shop and i am the only one who has a well stocked salon and shop. I chose this kind of business because i saw there was a ready market and love plaiting and weaving women when their look beautiful am good and therefore i decided to go for that business.I use my profits to add more stock and pay my bills like school fees, rent and save some for future use. Being in an areas where there are so many hair dresses i am planning to add a variety of ladies wear like hand bags and shoes. this will really boost me because i am dealing with ladies most of the time.
When i get this loan, i will make sure i add more stock for the fast moving goods like shampoos, conditioners and hair food which i will use 50 us dollars. I will then buy a variety of human hair, hair pieces and wigs at 50 us dollars to see how the market will be.
This will really boost my profits because my customers are always asking for the human hairs. I will expect my business to go up by 50% and this will really make my life to change for the better.
