I am a 29 year old Kenyan citizen from Kilifi-Kenya. I just completed my Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management course. I overcame hardships by working hard by hiring farms and planting maize, cassava and vegetables for sell this enabled me to start saving every penny i got and from the savings i managed to buy a plot and also started local poultry (chicken) farming.
Kilifi town is a resort city, we get many tourists and also we have a public University that is growing and the population of the students grows by almost 2500 students per year
My daughter wants to be a Doctor and my son wants to be an engineer.
During my free time i like going for beach walks, and reading motivational books and magazines.
I sell vegetables and local chickens to people. They are in demand since most of the people want to eat fresh vegtabes from the farm and local chickens due to the health benefits unlike eating GMO foods.
This growth of population at Kilifi town will make a demand for business in various sectors for example food and beverages business and accommodation facilities to both the students and lecturers. There will be more viable business opportunities in this tow.
I chose this business since i love farming since i was young and learned alot of farming skills from my grandparents.
The costs are 20,000 kshs and the revenue of 10000 kshs after sales.
The profits will be used for business expansion and open a Restaurant that sells healthy local foods.
I would like to purchase two goats which i will resale during the Ramadhan holiday celebrations and get good profits due to the demand for goat meat. The loan will help me to get enough capital and transport charges. I also rearing chickens which also give me good income when I sell in plenty at once.
