About Me

My name is Margaret Mwinji from Nakuru County, Kenya. I work in Mount Kenya University Nakuru campus. I am married and a mother of two kids. I was introduced to this team by my colleague. Swimming, dancing and socializing are some of my hobbies that I love during my free time. I am self-driven, focused, responsible and easy to get along with. Being a first born, wife , mother and also a student, I have mastered the art of multitasking in my current job and my business.I believe that challenges are instrumental in shaping our live sand that is why i acknowledge any challenge encountered in my today’s ladder of success. I have learnt to keep going no matter how at times get tough on my way. Having a family is one of the things that has really shaped my life since I always focus on it and always try make the best out of everything that I do daily for my family.

My Business

I am inspired by the Kenyan Beauty Industry as there is more demand of these products by both genders in the recent past. Buying and Selling of various beauty products is my part-time job. I have a beauty shop located at Nakuru town, sokoni plaza, shop number 10 first floor. I do use my profit in reinvesting in my business and also improve the life of my family. I been in this business now for a year and a half and I have loved being in business, this has been a learning platform and also one of my achievements in life. There have been challenges along the way but i believe am getting to conquer most of them. I really appreciate Zidisha and my lender for the loan that i got as i was able to add more products and my client base has increased.
This business has really helped my rediscover my inner-self and opened up my world to a world of friendship, beauty, business creativity, profitability and most important fun that never existed to me before.
I am looking forward to integrating my business to a shopping cart where I am to do online advertisement and sales that will help me expand my client base and raise my sales.

Loan Proposal

By borrowing this loan, i am sure that this will really increases my sales and business profit with at least 5-10% since i am intending to use the loan in paying my postgraduate studies and online advertising. My dream is to be able to inspire young students in investing in their passions to supplement their incomes. I also plan to eventually promote online shopping in the Kenyan market by having an integrated shopping cart in my website.Thanks to zidisha that am to see my dream come true through the zidisha loan.
