About Me

I live about 300m off Charo Wa Mae road, Sparks Road, between Charo Wa Mae and Prison Roads. I am a widow with two children,a boy and a girl aged 16 and 12. Both children are in school, the first born (boy) is in class eight and the other in class four. I am living in a rental house which costs 1500 shillings per month. Since my husband dies, I have lived here for more than eight years Since my first loan, I have a new husband and he helps with my business.

My Business

I started selling shoes in past ten years. I have been selling shoes from one open air market to the other. We have daily market days in Kilifi county. Open air markets are: Mkoroshoni, Tezo, Takaungu, Chonyi, Matsangoni and Chasimba. In every market I have created strong customer contact hence more sales. In a month I am capable of raising profit of about 10,000 shillings (ten thousands).
Since Zidisha lenders have helped, the shoe business grew and I was able to open a hoteli, cafe in Charo Wa Mae. It is called Top Ten Cafe and we make chapati, pilau and wonderful foods. It is becoming very well followed because it is the only one in the area, where I still sell shoes.

Loan Proposal

My business is selling shoes that I buy from Tanzania, Nairobi and Mombasa, There are many local markets in Tezo, Coroshoni, Mariakani, Vipingo and other towns to sell. My customers are loyal to me. This is my number three Zidisha loan and you allow for me to continue to expand the business.
