About Me
I am an entrepreneur , a nutritionist by training. I have worked variously formally and informally. I run a start up called Glofha general supplies and a women empowerment group called kaleluya women self help group. Besides this I run a business of money transfer and rental units which I have been slowly progressing thanks to Zidisha.
I come from a very humble back ground but discipline , hard work and honesty has really shaped my life and blessed my fortunes.
My Business
I run a dairy farm now with 2 Fresian cows which calved in Dec , I sell milk and use that for feed and save the rest. I equally farm maize and beans and other vegetables in a 2 acre piece of land .
I have rental units that give me a regular monthly income that support me and my family.
Loan Proposal
After harvesting my tomatoes in this month i am planting rose coco beans in the farm to promote my soil productivity by rotating the crops. The loan is going to help me buy the seeds for the beans which is an equvalent of usd 120 thats a dozen for one acre piece of land, fertiliser will cost usd 60 for 2 bags of DAP, and usd 40 for 2 bags of CAN i will add 2 bags of urea which will cost usd 40. then tilling and labour will amount to an approximate of usd 50
I shall focus to get an optimum yield by closely monitoring and feeding the crop well with constant pest control and foliar feeding and weeding. I look forward to getting your support to achieve this dream.
Income Source
The current situation has been a major challenge to us farmers because of the economic climate. Everyone is suffering now but food has to be consumed. We are the suppliers of the food product in my community and thankfully i have been able to deliver to the people. i wouldnt want to dissapoint the consumers as they look up to us farmers. i am looking forward on selling m y tomatoes and repaying my loan , and by the time my beans are mature and harvesting i can fill in the circle to keep my business going. I envision a better tommorow for my business and expansion.
