About Me

I am Kioko Mutua,a 28year old Kenyan.I live in yatta in machakos county,eastern Kenya.I was born and brought up in poor background,a factor that made me a fighter since I had to learn to struggle to survive.I was taken to mekilingi primary school and went through my primary education up to 2006 and I managed a B+ thus getting admission to a secondary school.I joined mekilingi secondary school in 2007.Due to the poor background I came from,getting school fees was a problem and I had to take five years in secondary school because of the constant sendoffs for school fees.At my second year of study I resolved to charcoal burning and livestock keeping to raise my fees and it really worked.I managed to sit for my kcse in 2011 and managed a B+ which earned me admission to the university.I also have two siblings who depend on me to for their education in secondary school,this made me differ my studies to help them first complete their secondary education.zidisha has been greatly helpful to me. I started a business of showing soccer matches and video tapes at a fee and with zidishas help I am managing.Through your help I am expecting an expansion of my business and I am intending to open more branches in order to increase my income.

My Business

I noticed the high number of football fans in my local market and the long distances they were covering to watch soccer matches especially the English premier league and decided to start my own theater to show these matches.I charge a fee of $0.50per head and my torn over is always good raising a minimum of $30 per match.in a good month I do make at least $240 which I use to pay my sisters`school fees and save for my studies.

Loan Proposal

I am planning on purchasing the materials to construct a new stand for my soccer fans to sit on as they watch these matches.This is because of the increase in the number of people attending soccer shows.
