i am a part time photographer and i stay in mtwapa situated in kilifi. i come from a family of five and i am the eldest son. i am a graduate of Moi University attaining a degree in law.started my business this year in the month of January as i always had a passion for artful photography. The business is picking up and from the earnings i get i usually buy little equipment in order to enhance my services. i look forward to a time where i will have my own studio with full equipment. Currently i am forced to hire equipment when it comes to major events hence i get very little income back after paying off the incurred expenses. i believe with the Zidisha loan i may be able to enhance my photography and expand my business.
I am a part time photographer and my services ranges from corporate events, weddings, birthday, baby, family model and fashion photography. Apart from that i do my own photo project that helps in creating my portfolio, enhance my creativity and as a marketing strategy. i currently work in a law firm as a legal assistant as i await to join the kenya school of law for the advocates training program and earn my diploma. My source of income comes from both the photography business that i get and from the law firm, where i work full time.
At the moment i lack lighting equipment that helps in creativity and producing quality work especially with regards to events and wedding photography. The loan will be used towards buying of equipment for photography. i plan to add a little money from my savings and buy lighting equipment in Nairobi which cost Kshs. 26,000. The package consist of two lights with their stands and photography umbrellas with a battery pack.
