I am a recent graduate of a degree course in public health. Thus in the pursuit of searching for employment and fending for myself, I decided to sustain my life through selling clothes and shoes. This business ensures that I get enough funds to sustain my lifestyle and ensures that I grow it in gradual steps to a fully fledged enterprise.
I started off my business by selling two pairs of rubber shoes from the little pocket money I had. From the profit obtained I went ahead to buy more shoes because of high demand, especially rubber shoes and clothes that are in high demand especially among the youth who are fashion savvy. I have been operating from home and I would like to expand my business by establishing a stall/shop where I can sell my merchandise in the next two to three months. I mostly deal in ladies' shoes and clothing and I would like to include jewelry and accessories into my business.
I intend to invest around $ 400 in my clothing venture in the following ways:
a) Purchase inventory/stock of around $ 250 of mainly ladies clothes and shoes which after sale might net me around $ 600 in revenues.
b) Utilize around $ 80 as operating costs for business venture i.e. transport and selling costs.
c) Utilize the remaining $ 70 in trying out some crop farming as a means of spreading business risks and for emergency purposes while undertaking my business venture.
