The town is typically dominated by poultry farmers. Because I could not have University education it is my prayer that my business should flourish to enable me cater for my children to any level that they desire. I like playing draft and barbering serves as a pastime for me. My home.guys.like poultry farming they buy poultry feed, vitamin A, and other drugs that they use to treat the chicks to prevent disease. At first I like to do poultry farming but later I saw that I can make more money by selling things on poultry.
I sell general goods most especially poultry feed. As indicated earlier the typical job for the people of Dormaa Ahenkro is poultry. Farmers would want to buy food supplement and drugs for their birds at any point in time therefore very often I had to travel frequently for such items. I first of studied what the people of the land prefer doing and I thought it wise to supply them with what could ease their production of eggs. I make daily sales of ghc300 to ghc350 a day. To buy poultry feed and other supplies I require to raise an amount of GH c15000.I use part of the profit to feed the family and reinvest the remainder into the business.
I want to buy wheat bran at $45, five bags of corn at $35, food concentrate at $30, and vitamin A. at $25. These items when bought will allow me to supply the poultry farmers well for their birds to grow healthy so that I can also earn some profits to ease payments of my children school fees and to buy proper food for them to eat and grow well. If these items are bought, I hope to increase my profit to about 75%.
