I was brought up in a rural area where i also went to school. After completing my secondary school i went for a computer course.
We are a family of nine with seven brothers and two sisters. It was not easy for us to get all the basic requirement for my parents were not employed. They were doing small scale farming and casual labourious.
After completing the school i did not secure for any job so i joined them in tea planting in our small land. This is where i managed to plant my own tea plantation and made them to be my source of income. The area which is along the abardare slops is very good in tea plantation and keeping of livestock.
My business as a tea farmer gives me an average income of 2000 KES per month. Its good money because i work for my own in picking the tea. Since i want to increase my income i have bought a small heifer which in due time i will start selling milk. The small portion i have is not enough, but with the use of zero grazing i can be able to keep five cows. The amount am borrowing will help me to add 1 big cow ready for milking and the reaming amount i use it for buying food for the cows.
If i can manged to be selling 15 litres of milk per day with a cost of 35 KES per liter, i will be comfortable be in a position to pay the loan and increase my productivity.
having given the past loan i have been able to add some poultry which are giving me eggs and am doing well. this is the first time am experiencing working with loans and am happy that my dream will come to pass. the cow that i have been feeding through this loan is doing well and i plan to add more as time continues. my mind and wish is to have a livestock which will sustain my family and increase my standard of living. am so grateful to you for the support you are offering to me and i promise to work with you in all due respect.
