About Me

My name is Hassan Yusuf Ashraf .
I went to St Joseph's Roman Catholic primary school in Webuye Bungoma county and later joined Teremy high school in Sirisia constiuency in Bungoma county.After finishing my secondary education my father who was suffring from cancer passed away and we werw left with nothing since all the money was directed towards his medication.
As the first born i had to take up his roles of providing for my siblings since my mother had already devorced him.I started taking errants from people and i saved some little cash from my wages and started Nyama choma business outside a bar known as Millenium.I did the business for almost 6 monthsand while still in the same business a friend of mine was running a small hotel not very far from the bar.His business was not doing well and so i moved in and changed everything including the name of the hotel to Akwana Hotel and that is how i started the business.Though it was not easy at firsti never gave up and according to my quality goods and services plus the maintaining high hygiene levels the business picked up very well.

My Business

Akwana hotel has been running almost 3yrs now.I started the business with little income,by selling simple and affordable food to customers.
The business is located at a market centre hence high demand for the goods and services since the food is sold at affordable prices and that its well prepared putting in mind that hygiene is very vital for such a business
This type of business ploughs back profits on daily basis and has good returns in terms of income
Since its a small business i have a small number of staff which is easy to pay and handle.I spend less than 2000 shillings per day to pay my staff of which i pay 150 shillings per head and interms of revenue i only pay tax during market days.
I use my profits to pay fees for my siblings,paying rent and for my own personal needs

Loan Proposal

I intend to buy a blender since many of my customers prefer fresh juice and its sold at 70 dollars .
By selling this juice my business will grow since it will increase interms of income and to others who are my customers will enjoy the fresh juice.
Am sure my profit will increase by atleast 10% since the hotel is located at a market place there is ready market
