My name is Masawudu Yandary Mahama. I am a student at UDS, marketer and a farmer too. I undertake agric and marketing business. I am from Bawku. I do travel to Accra to sell furniture products like wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, office cabinets, office table, and others. When I travelled to Accra the first time, I suffered in order to get a job. I went round and spend plenty of money on the name of getting a job. Fortunately, my uncle introduced me to this business of selling products. From there, I earned a lot of money and gave birth to doing business.
I do agric business and selling business. I rare goats and cultivate crops like maize, Soya beans, sweet potatoes and groundnut. I do travel to Accra at the end of the rainy season to join my uncle sell furniture products. The furniture products we sell in Accra are wardrobe, kitchen cabinets, office table, computer desk, and others. The furniture products are imported from Denmark. The name of the company is Ap Selection Limited. These are where I gain my income.
This loan is going to be used for agricultural purposes. I have cultivated
crops and lack funds to buy fertilizers for them. I want the loan to buy
fertilizers for the crops. Some of the loan will be used to insecticide the
farm. I rear goats in my house which need vaccines and other activities
which will enable them grow. Part of the loan is to be used to give vaccine
to the animals. Part of the loan will also be used as transport fee to travel
to Accra to undertake marketing activities.
The farming and rearing of the animals will help me repay the loan in time.
The COVID-19 has less effect in Bawku. For this reason, the livestock
market in Bawku is going on normal. We send goats to the market weekly
to sell. The goats market is lucrative here and this will help me repay the
loan after selling them. The money can also be gotten when I sell the
products of the farmland. As we know, no matter how calamity people
face they will still eat food and food obtain from the farm. Not only that,
but money can also be obtained through the selling of furniture products. I will
contact the buyers and deliver the products to their doorsteps. This will
enable me to sell them faster.
