About Me
My name is Cecilia. I was born in Muranga county - in central highlands of Kenya. This is an agriculturally rich region and most people are farmers. The main crop grown here is coffee and tea as well as other food crops such as beans and potatoes. I grew up helping my parents in the fields.
I went to primary and later joined secondary school. I later did a course in sales and marketing before relocating to Mombasa where I joined my aunt who lives there. While in Mombasa, I did a short course in computer applications and with the help of my aunt, started a small shop where I sell mobile phone accessories.
My Business
As mentioned above, my business deals with the sale of mobile phone accessories. I sell items such as phone chargers, earphones, glass protectors etc. These items are very popular with the masses since most people in Kenya own at least one mobile phone.
I get my stock from large stores which sell the items at a wholesale price and then retail them from my shop.
Most of my clients are young adults who keep changing their phones and their accessories. I like this business because it allows me to interact with all sorts of people.
Loan Proposal
This being my first loan, I will use it to boost my existing stock of mobile phone accessories. I plan to buy a dozen earphones, half a dozen batteries and other assorted items.
I hope to make a quick sale of the above items and make a good profit which will make my business grow even more.
